Agents

Check that an agent keeps its bot and its conversations when it switches harnesses.

You need a Mac with this checkout's lnk, a hosted model's key, your phone, and a channel connected, which is Telegram, Slack or Discord. Switching needs a second harness besides Link Harness, and any adapter installed with cargo will do. The model's key costs a few cents.

Switch harness, and keep the same bot

lnk agent use link # Link Harness, the default
lnk agent status # running

Text your agent from your phone and it answers. Then switch:

lnk agent use # the harnesses, and which one is active
lnk agent use <harness> # another one

A harness that may do more than the one you're on lists each grant, with what it opens and, where the harness asked for it, why. The list is in the warning color, and it asks you to confirm. Answer n first, and your agent stays on its harness, running. Then run lnk agent use <harness> again and answer y. The harness's start prints a line naming what it runs with beyond the defaults.

Text it again on the same chat, and the same bot answers. Then switch back:

lnk agent use link
ls ~/Link/Agents/main/Home/conversations/

Text it once more, and the same bot answers. Its chat is a folder in conversations/, and that folder's conversation.md holds what was said to Link Harness, before the switch and after.
