Get Started
Text your agent from the apps you already use. It answers you and no one else, whichever harness runs it.
lnk agent connect telegram # or slack, discord, whatsapp, signalPick an app
| App | What your agent is there |
|---|---|
| Telegram | A bot you make with BotFather |
| Slack | An app in your workspace, with no public address |
| Discord | A bot in a server of yours |
| Your agent's own number, linked from its phone | |
| Signal | Your agent's own number, linked from its phone |
Connect it
connect asks for what it needs and pairs you: from then on your agent
answers you and no one else. Your agent is stopped while it pairs and
started again with the channel. Each agent needs its own bot or app:
connect refuses one another agent already has. Connecting a channel
the agent already has asks before starting over.
Only you can text it
Your agent answers your direct messages, and your mentions of it in a
group, channel or server, there, whatever its harness. It answers no
one else, and nothing in a group that doesn't mention it
([channels] groups = "never" in its spec: nothing in a
group at all, on a channel Link carries). Add the bot
to the group yourself (on Slack, /invite it to the channel). Link Harness
speaks no channel itself, so Link carries all five for it
(lnk-<channel> bridge, beside your agent). To connect without prompts,
set the channel's
variables: each app's page has them.
Stop texting it somewhere
lnk agent disconnect slackdisconnect forgets the channel's tokens and restarts your agent if it
runs. The bot or app stays yours: delete it with BotFather
(/deletebot), at api.slack.com/apps or
at Discord's developer portal.
Unlink WhatsApp or Signal on the phone (Settings > Linked Devices).
