Slack
Text your agent on Slack. Your agent is an app in your workspace that needs no public address, and it answers you and no one else.
Connect it
lnk opens Slack's page for a new app, already filled in. Create it in
your workspace and give lnk its two tokens.
lnk agent connect slackPaste the app-level token (Basic Information > App-Level Tokens, with
connections:write) and, once you install the app, its bot token. Then
send the bot the code in a direct message within 10 minutes. If an
earlier try made the app, open it at api.slack.com/apps rather than make
another.
To connect without prompts, as from a script:
LNK_SLACK_APP_TOKEN=xapp-... LNK_SLACK_BOT_TOKEN=xoxb-... lnk agent connect slackDisconnect
lnk agent disconnect slackdisconnect forgets Slack's tokens and restarts your agent if it runs.
The app stays yours, so delete it at
api.slack.com/apps if you no longer want
it.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| " doesn't speak Slack" | lnk upgrade (an older plugin), or lnk agent use the harness it names. |
| Slack: "Sending messages to this app has been turned off" | App Home: turn on the Messages Tab. |
connect slack refuses the app-level token | Give it connections:write and turn on Socket Mode. |
