Noisy Miner Manorina melanocephala

A bold, aggressive honeyeater with a grey body, black crown and bright yellow facial patch known for territorial mobbing and cooperative groups. In the Blue Mountains it dominates open eucalypt woodland and urban edges, often excluding smaller nectarivores and shaping local bird community composition.

Medium-sized grey bird with black crown, bare yellow patch behind the eye and a white edged wing panel; highly vocal with harsh chattering and loud alarm calls. Moves in aggressive social groups that mob intruders.
